The Blog Sucker #365

In cycling we have what we calling a wheel sucker.... It is someone that is riding that is just drafting behind people and never taking their turn to pull. Well, I feel like a blog sucker. I glean from others posts but add nothing of my own. I decided I would add something tonight though. This is what has been happening the past little while.

Friday of last week I went down to Provo after shooting what I thought was the final scene of my commercial for BYU-Idaho's walking push. I left at 8:30 with my co-pilot Little Caesar and made one of the biggest mistakes of my entire life. I ate the whole thing, poor choice. The rest of the weekend I felt sick. I get down to Provo after falling asleep often and pull into a gas station parking lot to ask my night residence for directions. Low and behold what happens other than a sprinkler shooting IN my window and making a direct connection with my head. Yes, humorous I agree. Then I get to this apartment. It turns out that one of the roommates had been sick and vomited right next to where I would be sleeping. How pleasant. Then Mckenna, Chelsea and I drove the rest of the way to Las Vegas to see Abram, Dad and Craig Hiatt. It was a lot of fun while we were there. I was taken aback by the prices of everything because I am a cheapskate penny pinching, getting green and keeping mine kind of guy. Okay, I am not that bad... when it comes to bikes. Anywho, that night we saw La Reve which is a Cirque du soleil production. It was amazing!! The entire floor was water. They dropped people from 90 feet up. The guys were ridiculously strong and I was jealous. It was really neat. Then we got to the apartment and went to bed at 12:30. I woke up at 4:30 to go to my Triathlon in Henderson, about 30 minutes away. Just to let you know, Nevada is really hot. So I go and have a lot of fun at the triathlon. Realized I can't swim worth a darn and that if I could and if I had tried I could have been in the top ten. It was soooo much fun though. Then I came back and we watched some football while the girls went to some make up store. Abram went to take a nap, the girls came over and took dad hostage somewhere. I went to the spa and got a massage from Adam.... And then we met back up and ate dinner. We watched the Lion King that night and it was really cool too. It was different from La Reve. It was more like reading a book whereas in La Reve it was like going to an art gallery. Abram was supposed to fly home that night but Dad didn't feel good about it. Then Mom called and didn't feel good about him doing that and neither did his wife. I think that he is old enough to have made those decisions without mom and dad. The changing vote came when Wendy spoke, it's like the superhuman wife power. So then we came back, Kenna, Chelsea and I am had more wonderful road trip stories.

We stopped in Cedar City to see my first mission companion Elder Steven Pollock. It was a lot of fun just talking with him again.

Now, in Idaho I am a cycling instructor at the school gym, looking to become a fitness consultant, I have a job as an events coordinator and may become one of the people in charge of organizing Triathlon's for campus and getting people involved and ready. And I go to school too, I though it would be good to mention that. This weekend I am part of a Temple to Temple relay team. It starts at the temple in Idaho Falls and ends in Rexburg, ID at the temple.

Thanks man! It's all about the cycling tan that is shown because of the shortness of the triathlon shorts.

I think the sprinkler story was my favorite part of this post. And why the .... after you said you got a massage from Adam? I don't get it.

Superhuman wife power - I like that. And um, the massage from Adam, I heard about that. Apparently it was one of Abram's favorite parts of the trip, you getting a massage from Adam. I suppose if someone had been there to witness the ridicule following the massage they would understand the "...." following the mention of it. Just a guess.
