My conclusion is that this is the price we paid to become acquainted with God. Our life, our loneliness, our memories, hopes and dreams. All of those things point us to someone other than ourself, so seek the Savior rather than the physical comfort of friends and conversation.

This life is yours
There is this thing called the past, which effects another thing we often refer to as the present which always lead to this thing known as the future. The interesting thing about this is that your past is yours and your present is where you've been and a telling tale of where you'll go. Not that where you are is where you will always be but one's mentality doesn't change over night, even with the Atonement. I am sure that Paul and Alma the Younger still struggle with consequences of their past. That is not to diminish their accomplishments but to further our recognition of their ability to listen to the Lord and to follow the counsel given.

Much of the time I feel the Savior's love through friends and good conversation... but that's just me :)
ps I didn't comment ONLY because my internet hasn't been working for the past FOREVER. But now I have. Check.
Wow, comment numero 2. In response to your questions: Yes, I was referring to YOU Zach. What other boy named Zach looks at my blog? In fact, what other boy looks at my blog!? I thought you were twins the whole trip! (exaggeration, we were only with him for 3 days). Peter was very funny and he definitely laughed at his own jokes. I swear you two were spitting images of each another (minus that he's mucho older than you... bummer).
Amen, Elder. Frantic cravings to talk to friends and other wise people about one's crazy issues can never really put one completely at peace. Only talking to the Lord can do that.
