I am guessing I should have written these in reverse order, but I am a newby what can I say? Well, he lived a good two hours away, so I guess my chances of getting married have narrowed by our decision to decline the dinner invite. So ONWARD, EVER ONWARD! And off we went. We hiked through the Grand Canyon one day, after watching the sunrise and that night camped in the Canyonlands of Southern Utah. That was probably a favorite night of mine. First, we didn't know if we had enough gas to get into the park and back out the next day. So we took our chances. Now because of that we are two of the fortunate souls that have had and taken the opportunity to pay $6 for a gallon of gas. But hey, who wouldn't monopolize the situation. So we camped and I sang around our picnic table because we didn't have firewood and had a good crowd of fellow campers and rocks. The acoustics were good and I think they made me sound better. We made it out alive.... which is another story which I can't disclose but let's just say I have a testimony of a mothers' prayers. Out of the Canyons and onto Arches! But I realized my rear shock was blown on my mountain bike and so onto Provo we went. Staying with Austin Cooper, a good friend of mine from the mission. And then the rest of the week with Jory Woodis. Another good mission buddy. I don't know what else to put in here that won't get me in trouble with one person or another so I will end it here and maybe decide upon some guidelines before my next blog.
